I would like to work on openings. I have a Mac computer and have not been able to find a good computer program to work on this. Any good suggestions?

You will probably need to use something like Parallels or VMware Fusion. But I suggest Chess Position Trainer.

there are a lot of cheap cd's you can get from chess fedration under $30.00 that can get you started, then as you progress you might try the local library.

I use chess.com, books, and a chessboard to work on my openings.

Yes. Chess position trainer is well reported on and a freebie to boot!

I think that the Mac vs PC debate should be kept off this site. In my opinion, Macs are just fine...

Besides, the built in chess program in Mac OS X beats the built in chess program in Windows Vista!

Laura, yo uso libros de ajedrez; que aunque son muy aburridos el cequir las instrucciones, cuando los leo mi juego tiende a mejorar.  No sé como se usa el entrenadoer virtual aqui todavia.
