Opening repertoire around the King's Indian Defense

I use the King's Indian Defense as Black against d4, so I was wondering if there are any good openings like the KID against White's 1.e4.  The Pirc Defense maybe since you let White control the center and then you counter attack?

How about as White?

And lastly, is it okay for me to play these kinds of openings.  I find them enjoyable, and I'm a Class C/B area player.  Probably around 1500, though I'm not rated.  I know this because I can almost draw against 1600-1800 players most of the time.

They always say, DON'T USE THOSE KINDS OF OPENINGS BEGINNERS, so that's why I'm asking.  I familiar with all the opening principles by the way....

Thank you!  Also can you help me train with these new openings, because I really need someone to train these openings with.

Also can you explain to me the King's Indian Attack as well?

At your level, you shouldn't be touching the King's Indian even with a thirty yard stick.

An example is this game you have played:

Well, if you can't see that your 6...e5?? drops a bucketload of material after the simple 7.de5 de5 8.Qxd8 Rxd8 9.Bxf6 Bxf6 10.Nd5 (or possibly even worse 9.Nd5 at once), then this extremely complex and versatile opening is not for you.

I suck at internet chess.  I play much better in real games...

If you feel that 4.Qe2 is the proper answer to Black's nonsensical play, then you'd better quit chess and go fishing.

I'm afraid that you still aren't familiar with the game fundamentals.

Thank you Syrtis.  By the way you should start playing again on chess.com.

Try some mainlines, they are sound!

As sooner you practice mainlines, the stronger your repertoire will be when your rating grows. Do you want to be 2000+ and start studying mainlines then or start now, if you start now you will be a lot more familiar with those positions on higher levels. It's a fallacy btw that only GM's can see the plans in the openings.
