Opening Theory?

I absolutely love this site. Between the video lessons, the chess mentor, and the opening section where I can see variations and then actual games, I think this site is better than buying any books and well worth the monthly fee.

However, I am looking for opening theory, specifically for the Ruy Lopez, King's Gambit, and the Pirc defense. I don't seem to see anyplace on the site that has theory, so I can really grasp why I'm making the moves that I'm making. Practicing the moves helps a lot, but I would like to know the theory behind them. If anyone knows of a place on this site that has opening theory, or a good website, would you please share?

Thank you.

Go to the Learn Tab and click on Book Openings. There's a ton of openings there.

In chess "theory" means the moves played in practise.  I think what you are looking for is the "ideas" behind the openings.  If you do a google search on either ideas, openings or ideas and name a specific opening you should find what you looking for.

Yes, thank you, this is what I mean. I want to know the idea behind these openings. I've looked at the openings and gone through many of the variations on the book opening section of the site here.
