I think about ELO

For me the ELO is a life changer. I refuse to play blitz these days because I peaked near my all time high so I've been avoiding blitz to keep the positive momentum, the good ELO vibe and I can feel the energy boost these days, i feel more power from that good healthy solid 1384 ELO in bliz, the TIME IS NOW, also more feeling happier, sleeping better, quit smoking yesterday, made new friends, eating healthier and life is suddenly amazing

Today I saw one of these 1400 and i thought: i am only 13 points from becoming a 1400, the dream of all the average 1000s wannabes here in chess.com. And i thought: I will study hard like never before for these 2 games so I can retire as a 1400 , leaving my legacy behind. But i still have my doubts because what if i lose 1 game? I would be down to 1370 and the frustration of losing the reputation may lead me into a bigger fall, and the end of the good vibes to the point of having to break my sobriety and then closing my account to avoid bigger damage in life

I think you should ask chess.com to make an alt account. That way, you wouldn’t care about your rating there, and when you become, say 1450 you could switch back to your main and become a 1400 here

The site uses Glicko not Elo.

But that would be like cheating and I don't want that. I am an honest clean player, been sober and playing only 960chess for 4 months, no cigarretes, Donuts, 3min bliz, bullet nor any of that crap; only good and healthy clean habits as you can see

You are afraid of tilts LOL. And you have smoked... which means you're an adult. Too bad I'm not even close to being a teenager right now. And I have so-called "suffered" from those tilts, like people say. Tilts give me joy, because I learn something. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

think about chess quality and your elo will rise.

if you play with fear go to play unrated games...or go to fishing

I don't mean playing your alt on your account rn, I mean training on your alt for a while, because you won't have to worry about your rating there, then after you're confident switch here and play some random opponents, then your rating will rise. Playing your alt account is cheating but there's nothing wrong using your alt to become more confident.
