opening trap

This is from a game I played recently.

 

I have never seen this trap before I just happen to notice it during gameplay. Does it have a name?

That's called the "You left a pawn in the centre unprotected" trap. And you can save the pawn by playing Bc1 but it's not good for you. This can happen a lot in the french and caro-cann when black develops the queen to Qb6, especially in the advance variations.

yes true... but even with the OPs moves as played, he could start at move 31...  31.Qg7+ Ke8 Qf8#.

We were playing with short time controls so i'm sure I didn't make the best moves.

The center pawn is protected after Nf3
