Opening Traps - Beware! - IV

Three more traps in this installment. The first is the Lasker's Trap after the great Emmanuel Lasker himself. At the end of the moves of this trap, white is down a piece with a king on the run, and black

should have a very comfortable game. It happens in the Albin-Countergambit of the Queen's Gambit.Wherein the Queen's Gambit, black decides to counterattack with 2.e4 rather than a classical QGD or QGA.

Trap in the Albin Countergambit(1.d4 d5 2.c4 e4)

Trap #2 - Yet another trap in the Ruy Lopez! This one was first done by Grandmaster Tarrasch, and this occurs, in the Steintz variation. This is a useful trap to know about, although because of it, this opening is not played very often nowadays.
Trap in the Ruy Lopez(1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5)

Trap#3- Trap in the Torre Attack.

This final trap comes out of the Torre attack, and is another useful one to know.

Trap in the Torre Attack(1.d4, 2. Nf3, and 3. Bg5(moves for black can vary.)

Hope you enjoyed these!
