Opening traps

What are some good opening traps, that don't require extremely poor play from either side (ie: they are reasonable traps to fall for) What are some good resources to learn chess trap openings? If you recommend a book, that's great, but I would prefer something more like a video or software. Thanks!!

Just don't try to memorize opening traps.  Learn an opening and then familiarize yourself with the traps in them.

How does 5...Ke7 cost black another pawn

after 6.0-0 whites Knight is hanging

11.Qf3? Qxf3 and white is down a piece and his king looks really weak

4.Nxe5? is a big mistake for white

I think traps aren't good. I kind of takes the fun out of a game and can be dangerous.

Traps are actually a good way to fool people.

Traps are how you get ahead in most games.  Pinning pieces, gaining more material than the opponent and gaining a winning position are all forms of traps.  A trap is being able to see further than your opponent.  Essentially you have to make a trap in order to win.

traps are good. they are fun to pull and even more fun to learn from. it sucks losing but if you can do it to the next guy, that is even better. you win by the trap and you die by the trap.

nah... Fried Liver would have the King go out to help defend the Knight and it isn't so bad...

e4 e5 Nf3 Nc6 Bc4 Nf6 Ng5 d5 exd5 Na5... that's what black should do to get out of that

Here's one from a recent game of mine.  I found the trap by doing a game search on the position after move 2 and noticed some of the games were only 11 moves long.  I was intending to play the King's Indian Attack.  1.Nf6 f6, 2.e4 e5 seems like weak play for black, but I did find the position in a bunch of games in UltimateGameCollection6.  Some of them ending in a mate in 8 and some ending in black losing a rook and resigning shortly after.  Here's a game on chessgames.com from very notable players where black loses a rook and resigns shortly after.

1. e4 e5 2. Nf6 Nc3 3. c3 Nf6 4. d4 Nxe4 5. d5 Ne7 6. Nxe5 d6 7. Bb5+ c6 8. dxc6 bxc6 9. Nxc6 Qc7 10. Ne5+ Kd8 11. Nxf7# 1-0. If he blocks it instead he loses a piece. There are all kinds of combinations here. Credit for this trap goes to the person known as Rickdd2 on youtube, although he probably did not discover it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOZLHeKWhTQ

After Nxe5??, simply ...NxN. The correct sequence would be h3 first.
