That's not a trap, it's black playing like someone who just learnt the rules today.

That could happen with a lower rated player

White would take the knight. That way forces black to retreats its black bishop thus white gains a free minor piece.

I think traps should always be employed in every move you can as long as you don't compromise your own position. A bad trap would be an all-or-nothing hope that your opponent makes a huge error. Good traps are the ones which keep your position safe while giving the chance for your opponent to make an error:)
