Are you serious? Bad opening=loss.
Agreed on both: I am serious, and you are at a loss.
Anyway, if you want to study openings, just do it. Don't complain though if you see your play not improving at all...

I always play c5 to e4 and usually play accellerated dragon hoping I can get the sicilian break(D5) in
Haha, It doesn't matter. I'm 1500 and I still don't study openings. All you need to know below 1300 is tactics. Once I get to 1700 I will start serious opening prep, but until then I will work on my endgame tactics and positional skills. But back to you. How many of your games are determined by how much theory you know? Probably none. Your games are decided by blunders and better positional knowledge. Openings are a waste of time at your level. Play 1.g3 and you'll be fine.
I agree with this post until you say play 1.g3. Follow opening principles, strong centre etc.. Even as Black I don't think he should be playing hypermodern openings, as White it is just silly. You're giving Black better than equality on move one, he is now basically White (unless you reply to 1...e5 with c4 and 1...d4 with Nf3).
+1
My point was that opening principles matter. Not the moves, and that even if you play something non-standard, the game is still decided by tactics. But I didn't phrase this correctly. I agree with Monkeyingaround. Follow the opening principles and you'll be fine.

a lot of my games are decided by theory. by the way thats how you win games is better positional knowledge. there is no level where you should start openings. screw that. my question was not should i play openings it was what openings should i play for black. you would be pretty dang pissed if someone gave you answers like that. someone said it once, it was stupid enough then, dont say it 20 freakin times. give a goddang straight answer or just stop posting on the forum. got it?
ChessSlimDaddy, with that mentality you will become a good player the day pigs fly. Honestly. I have trained two (junior) world champions, and a few GM's and WGM's, and I'm pretty sure people with your attitude towards chess are hopeless.
Regards.
Okay, play King's pawn and Queen's pawn games, they will help you to imrpove the most.
see isnt that a much better response

Your coach should quit chess if he's teaching you the way you're making it sound.
Is the quality of my advice dependent upon my "level" (of what, who knows?)?
thats my point. everyone is saying stupid things that are irrelevant to the question, just because of my 'level'. So does that mean that because of their level, their advice is any better?
LOL, what? Tell me what you to hear and I'll happily oblige!
If you read the forum topic, then you would know i wanted to hear some good openings for black.

So, you're saying that the point behind you asking me what my "level" was, was to provoke a confused reply from me so that you had a reason to post this BS? I take everything back, you're levels ahead of me. I can't keep up with your genius...
I told you. Best for you is to follow principles, second best is to play King's pawn and Queen's pawn games. Do you want a third best solution?

No, not at all. People, including you, are saying that i shouldn't play openings because of my level (in chess, general knowledge, who knows what). So it was a rhetorical question, asking how your level (of chess, i guess) is higher than mine, therefore giving you the right to tell me that because of my level, i shouldn't play openings. If you're not going to asnwer my question dont post.
