Orsini Gambit?

I've recently seen an opening called the Orsini Gambit, which comes from the King's Gambit Accepted. I was wondering if this was a "good"(strong?) opening for white or black.

Thanks!

BAD, BAD, BAD. Sorry cannot post a diagram because I'm playing on phone but it is this simple 1.e4 e5 2.f4 exf4 3.b3? And now Qh4+ PLZ never try this at home

Play it with Black pieces instead :)

It's a rubbish. When you play a gambit, you want to develop your pieces faster than your opponent (you sacrifice the pawn to get a lead in development) want to castle quickly and start an attack using your development advantage. So sacrificing a pawn just to play a move like b3 which does nothing in this position is very bad idea. Not to mention that here black has the concrete Qh4+ threat. If you want to lose, you can resign after the first move there is no need to play this.

This was played in an actual game were Wiede, playing White, lost in just 7 moves and the mating move by Goetz, playing Black, was an underpromotion to a knight.
