Not signing it. You tell me if you’ve ever heard of a country called Scotch, Italian, Spanish, French, Russian, Scandinavian, English, Indian, Slav, or anything similar. Dutch makes perfect sense and follows the same grammatical structure. As for Leningrad, I mean the Berlin Wall isn’t around anymore now is it, but there’s still the Berlin Wall variation.

Dutch is the English language adjective for something from or relating to the Netherlands. There’s a reason is isn’t called the Sicily Defense or England Opening.

For those not familiar, Leningrad was named after Vladimir Lenin during the existence of the Soviet Union. However, after the Soviet Union dissolved, it had it's origninal name, St. Petersburg, restored. Also, there is no country called Dutch, and the closest country to having Dutch influence is the Netherlands. Thus, the Leningrad Dutch Defense should be renamed the "St. Petersburg Netherlands" defense.

No, wrong! First off, there are many areas that have Dutch influence. Denmark, Aruba, etc.

Secondly, just because the Soviet Union is gone does not mean the origin of the opening changed. Yugoslavia no longer exists, but you still have the Yugoslav Attack against the Dragon.

No reason to change the name.
