in game against Oakfish, how about instead of 10.......b3 to play 10.....Qa5 ? with idea of pushing 11.......a3 to pry open the long diagonal for your Bishop when it gets to g7. and later on, how about 24......Ba6 followed by ......Be7 and .....Kf7 trying to consolidate.
I get the following type of game often when playing the Pirc. My opponent signals they intend to attack with f3 and I completely stop kingside development and begin attacking on queenside planning to avoid kingside castle.
I have included some of my games that follow the general opening pattern and am hoping for some effective plans especially in the games where they continue with the queenside castle and I leave my king in middle to avoid their pawn storm.
My problem is against strong players they always seem to be able to shut down my queenside attack and defend everything even though I get there first. I don't have good general plans to break through on the queenside.
Thank you in advance.
