Pirc VS Czech Pirc - Which Is Better?

The idea behind the c6 "Pirc" also called Prybil or Czech (Because IM Prybil is actually Czech :) is completely different than Pirc. Whereas Pirc focuses on Black squares with g6, the Czech focusses on Light squares , c6 with an early Bg4 exchanging the Bishop then playing d5, e6 without having the bad bishop. After 3...c6, white can play f4, then Black may play Qa5 and if e5 then Ne4, following with the regular plan if possible. Note that Petrosian played this system, a game which is analysed in the only book I know about this opening which is 1...d6 by IM Lakdawala. In my opinion this opening is playable and has less theory, could bring the 1.e4 player out of his comfort zone...

I'll try to re-use it. Lakdawala's ... d6 book is based on it.

If your concern is objective "soundness" I don't see why you'd choose a regular Pirc fiancetto over playing the Modern in the first place. Any modern but especially the Tiger Modern. If you play Pirc you should play something interesting - Czech Pirc, Maroczy defense, Lion Philidor, Rat Defense... these lines are performing well in practice, especially the lines with an early e5. But I don't understand why almost all Pirc players just play the regular fiancetto and expose themselves to early e5 pushes, then proceed to get owned... the fact Pirc did it 100 years ago or whenever it was is no reason you should be doing it today.

normal pirc is probably better, because the spawn structure of both is somewhat similar (e4 d4 f4 by white) but i feel like the czech gives black a harder time because after black plays e5 white can open attacking lines and no matter what black really does with decent play white will probably end up better

The Czech is so underrated because the engine assesses it as +-. True, but unless you are an engine things are not so easy.

I don't know which of the two openings is better

The White Players often put 3 pawns in the center, don’t know what to do and end up miserably.

See #7, even Giri and Firouzja had no clue.

How could super GMs have no clue about this?

IDK. There are better ways to play for both of them.
