The hungry king, will eat all pieces in a 3x3 square around it. If it eats too much, it will explode in a 5x5 square, taking all pieces around it, and be gone.

the penguin. it can capture only straight. it can move only vertically. if it reaches the end, it becomes a polar bear, can move like a queen, capture like a queen, and can only be captured if it's penguin or the opponent's penguin touch it diagonally or horizontally or vertically.

takes the places of the two rooks. moves like a rook, but you can only move in one of the four avaliable directions.... when direction is chosen, both pieces move in that direction until either they capture a piece or they hit a wall.

cannot take pawns, however. treats pawns as if they were wall blocks.
