Playing Smith Morra as Danish

Hello,

My fave opening with white against e5 is danish gambit, since i prefer to take the initiative in open games, trying to create tactics, instead of positional slow ones, especially in rapid/blitz. Against sicilian i play the smith morra gambit, I think it is pretty solid, but sometimes i play it in a different way. I give another pawn (b2) so i kind of turning it to danish gambit lines. It generally is pretty playable, i think that there is not some real drawback apart from the fact that u don't utilize the advantages of smith morra, but since i am more familiar with danish gambit, and i like it more, i am ok with that. Queen c7 is not really a problem at all . However, since i have not found any source of games of GMs FMs IMs NMs that have ever played like this (probably there are some, i have not find them), when it comes to games that i really want to win, i am hesitant to do that, and against sicilian i play the smith morra in the normal way, without the sacrifice of the second pawn. What do you guys think of that line against sicilian, if you want to play aggressively?

It’s a fun line. White gets the early initiative and development for the cost of one pawn but the evaluation bar is -.40 which is nothing at our bracket.

Black can go wrong very easily if he doesn’t respond precisely. A couple of my latest games went like this:

I don't know, man. In the normal Danish, with the black pawn moved to e5, the white bishops really tear down towards the White king. Especially the bishop aiming at f7. But in the Smith Morra the black e-pawn is still sitting on e7, and can just walk up to e6, blocking the attack on f7. This seems to really take the sting out of White's plans.
