I use the Queen's Gambit quite a bit.  Accepted or declined, I feel white has control of the game's pace.  I like slower, positional battles, and the QGD lends itself to these quite nicely.  Here's a recent game of mine.  This is my first attempt at posting a game, so forgive me if the commentary is less than perfect.

Cpt Cman,

When commenting a game, especially in an opening forum, check it against standard references. If you don't have any use the game explorer or book opening features here.  For example, this is not a QGD it is a Slav defense (D10).  As to the game itself, 7. c5 is not the correct way to handle any of the QG tree, keep the tension in the center and exploit the pressure.  Kudos for seeing the h7 sac idea and carrying it out even if your opponent didn't.  Helps prove the point that QG games do have tactics and fireworks.

Cpt Cman, thx for the post! that was a very nice game and I liked how you willingly redirected your attention to the kingside - perhaps the queen's gambit is very flexible in open positions?

Thanks, everyone for the input.  I'll check out the opening tools on this site and try to do better next time...maybe try to find a better game too.
