If your understanding of the opening is so poor that you don't understand the need to divulge White's third move then you shouldn't be playing it.

It depends on what your third move is, because there are different responses depending on whether you play Nf3, e4, e3, or something else on your third move.  Just saying that he plays 3...c5 in the QGA gives us nothing to work with, more information is needed, because they are all different beasts.
