3 Nf3 and 3 e4 are alternatives.

e4 is the most interesting (and would be my recommendation)

e3 and Nf3 are both good too

e3 is perfectly fine. Make sure to study black’s response 3...e5 in addition to the transpositions into Nf3 mainlines. Probably 3...e5 4. Bxc4 exd4 5. exd4 Bd6 6. Nf3 Nf6 7. Qe2+ is the simplest path to a small advantage
