There are many ways to checkmate someone in ten moves, but it's not recommended to try them because they lead to a bad position if defended correctly. I would recommend good developing moves.
Quick Sharp Stuff

RyanMK,
Thanks for your post!
Do you have any suggestions on strong developing moves incase something goes wrong?

here's one of my games.
From's gambit. Obviously the player playing white was not familar with the theory behind from's gambit. This line can be sharp and uncompromsing. A white player familar with the theory will win most of the time. Black tries a few tricks and usually by the 15th move is at a disadvantage.

I haven't played from's gambit alot, but I have played it against players rated over 2100 on this site, didn't win but I had chances to get an advantage, or at least an equal position. As far as I know there's no clear way to refute the opening, but like I said I haven't studied this opening in depth.

Thanks for all of the posts!
I like the sound of Froms Gambit...
Does anyone have a game they have played with Froms Gambit? I would like to see exactly what happens.
Thanks a lot
1 e4 c6 2 d4 d5 3 Nc3 dxe4 4 Nxe4 Nd7 5 Qe2 Ngf6??? 6 Nd6# has occured on a number of occasions, including the Chess Olympiad.
BTW, Black's best move is probably 5...Ndf6.
Hello everyone! This is my first post ever so if you see any problems do not hesitate to send me a message!
I have been wondering... Are there any check mates that can be played within ten moves of a game. I know one (the Scholars mate I think it is called, shown below) but I was wondering if there were any others.
Thanks
