i love how class players are like "you can play this until 2k" in an opening as sound as the vienna lmao. Its like if you dress your opinion with precision it has more authority.
People told me similar stuff with 1.b4 ages ago
You can obviously play Vienna for a long time. But honestly at 2k you might want to add something else to your repertoire as The Vienna ( especially the Gotham f4 ) gets less effective
I have nothing against the standard Nc3, Bc4, d3, f4, Nf3 tho
5/10. You look up mediocre in the dictionary and the Vienna pops up. It’s better than the Ponziani, Konstantin, Philidor, and Leonardis, but worse than the Spanish, Italian, Scotch, Petrov’s, and Bishop’s.

You shouldn't disrespect @ScrumptiousBricks. They managed to refute the Sicilian and Ruy Lopez, something unachieved by top GMs and engines.

I'd give 1.e4 e5 2.Nc3 Nf6 3.Bc4 or 1.e4 e5 2.Nc3 Nc6 3.Bc4 about a 4. 2.Nf3 is clearly best.
1.e4 e5 2.Nc3 Nf6 3.f4 gets a 2 for reasons already mentioned.
1.e4 e5 2.Nc3 Nc6 3.f4 gets a negative 5!

Really? It transposes into the bishops opening a lot too.
I would say 7/10 for what I know of it so far.
