Reaching the Sveshnikov from d6

I have a move order question for the Sveshnikov.

Is it possible to reach the mainline from 2..d6 ? This is what I had in mind:

Basically my question boils down to this: is there any way for White to take advantage of this move order? I realize that the Sveshnikov is not forced in this line but it doesn't seem to me that White has a dangerous alternative.
If Black is a Sveshnikov player seems to me he will be happy with this line. Where am I wrong?

After 6 ...e5 7 Bxf6 and black has problems already. Black does very poorly from this position.

Agreed. Thanks for pointing that out.

What about a sort of accelerated Sveshnikov with 5..e5 in that line? Seems to me the most punishing try for White is Bb5+, but it doesn't seem so bad.

One line I forgot to post:

Instead of 6.Bg5 in that second line, 6.Nfxd6+ looks scary.

Anyway the whole reasoning behind the Najdorf (2...d6, 4...Nf6, 5...a6) is that a6 is a necessary preparation for ...e5. Even if we don't find the answer here, I'm sure there is one :-)

ScienceSquares

Good point. Well, at least I'll know what to do now if I have to face this from the White side.

Bugnotaur

Bah, forget e5 entirely.
