This has been the most common response I get (I usually play unrated games to test it). In some variations, however, instead of e6, Bishop f5 will be played.
Refine this Chess opening.
Wow very solid opening 👏 👌 👍🏻 thanks i liked it very much i m not a strong player but your dark squared bishop blocks your pawn so opponents will try to break center and place their rook on that diagonal

This is an opening I use commonly. I'm not sure it actually has a name, as it usually ends up under the king's fianchetto or queen's pawn opening, no further. The opening delays offense in favor of building up a strong king's side castle, which can then be used to launch an attack from the king's side, it can attack the opposing queenside or kingside. If needed it can also be played offensively before the point of castling. I'm not very high level, so even if I tried, there is no way I would be able to make it a sound opening. So, higher-level players, it's time for you to cook. Also, please give me pointers as to problems in the opening and moves that may weaken the position.
