Thanks, nice game.

This is the Alekhine variation in the Italian game (And not a Ruy Lopez, which is 3.Bb5).

The line is not bad at all but your early variations contain some inaccuracies.

5.d4 is not at all a bad move for W(it's the main line in fact) and is best answered with 5...Bb6!.

 Your proposed 5...exd4? is a mistake punished with 6.0-0!

The two names(Italian game and Giuoco piano) are often used as sinonymous. Someone argue that the giuoco is an italian game where B plays Bc5, but it's really a matter of details.
