And for the measley price of a queen black obtains a knight, white's weak pawn structure, the initiative, and the ability to get "out of book" against well-prepared opponents. Although it probably isn't sound, it sure is a good try at club level.

Obviously white declines the gambit and replies Ke2! which leaves black scrambling to regain control of the center.

Yes, there is that, if white forgets opening principles of developing the king quickly then he will be trashed by the doubled c-pawns.
