Although the Scandinavian breaks three major opening principles, something about the opening just works. Maybe because black's structure is too solid to break.
What structure? More pawn moves are required for any sort of structure to have been defined. And don't say always ...c6, because sometimes Black opts for ...a6 in the ...Qd6 lines
