How are you playing Trompowsky and Torre as black

1. d4 Nf6 2. Bg5 (e6 3. Nf3)?
You don't see many Trompowsky players out there, but they do exist, and sometimes I'm in the mood to play Trompowsky, sometimes I'm in the mood to play Torre.

... you dont get to choose

1. d4 Nf6 2. Bg5 e6 3. Nf3 leads to the Torre, but I can play 1. d4 Nf6 2. Bg5 Ne4 and that stays in the Trompowsky.

Also, 2...e6 does not force a Torre Transposition.  3.e4 or 3.e3 are also possible.

Black can also play 2...c5 or 2...d5, in addition to 2...Ne4 or 2...e6.

I didn't know this. I'm still learning the Trompowsky and Torre, so this should be very helpful, thank you.
