Sharp Kings gambit
3...h6, and 4...g5 are bad. Nothing but pawn moves, havent devleoped a single piece, weakened your kingside.
5.Bf7+?? BLUNDER.
6.Ne5+?? BLUNDER #2
6...Ke6??? If i could give this more than 2?? I would. Why not 6...Kg7 and youre just plain winning.
There is nothing wrong with 3...h6 (Becker defence, one of the best defence on king's gambit).
And 4...g5 next is not the usual move (4...d6), but nothing wrong again if white has nothing from a tactical point of view, since g5 is a move black wants to play (after h6).
Compared to 3...g5, the big idea of Becker defence is to reply h4 (when g5 played), with Bg7, stabilising the structure.
For example, 1.e4 e5 2.f4 exf4 3.Nf3 h6 4.d4 g5 5.h4 Bg7, while 1.e4 e5 2.f4 exf4 3.Nf3 g5 4.h4 forces black to push (not an issue though).
If white does nothing like Bxf7 or Ne5, we will transpose to major lines, like Fischer defence or others.
John Shaw gives the following lines :
About the game, 5.Bxf7 is highly optimistic and should be lost for white.
Simply 6...Kg7, why going in e6?
7.d4 was best, keeping the knight and options with black king unsafe.
This game was hope chess. Sometimes it works, often it loses...
