Sharp line in the Philidor

I found an interesting line for black in the Phillidor, shown below. I would appreciate feedback on this novelty. I don't know whether this line is sound or not, or if white has way too much compensation for the exchange.
Also, it would be helpful if you could point out any better ways for black to play after 8.Ke2.

In the 8.g3 Nxg3 line, White plays 9.Nf3! and black is busted.

This.  Which is trouble, since g3 has got to be the first option 99% of people are going to look at.


 That's correct. I hallucianted that the 9...Nxh1 discovered check would have to be answered by a king move, when in reality the checking piece (the queen) would be captured.
