Sicilian???

Game #1 move 9. ... Qc7 Must play, otherwise e5
Isn't 9. ... Qb6 better? Then 10. Be3 Qb7! (Fianchettoing the Queen instead of the Bishop).
Now Black's Bishop can just stay on c8, protecting the e6 Pawn and foiling any possible sacrifices, while Black's Queen plays the role of a fianchettoed Bishop and pressures both d5 and e4.
Black's position is stabilized and he can develop normally and plan a middle-game.

Game #2 - My game against Jovial Dick (given in my first post) followed exactly that variation and continued 9. ... Bb7 10. e5 dxe5 11. fxe5 Bc5!

"Why is the Sicilian so popular?" ++ Because it allows to play for a win as black, though at greater risk of losing. Black trades a wing pawn c5 for a central pawn d4 and thus gets an endgame advantage, but white gets a lead in development and an attack in the middle game.
"post some Sicilian games"
Here is a great game: white has prepared more, black defends accurately though finding the moves at the board. In the end black is tired and errs.
