Sicilian Dragon Fires
i completely disagree with all the comments from C-Crusher, lol.
- 6...Bg7 is the right move since 6...Ng4 would lose on Bb5+...
- Although 6...Nxd4 is a possible move, 6...Bd7 is the main line, developing piece and going to use c file...
- Qa5 is a standard idea to double rook on c file and bring queen onto the attack, watching a2 and c3, and sometimes can go to kingside to help defence (e5 square for instance can be a nice square in some variations), so it was a good move.
I think u played pretty good game, but your opponent blundered with 17.Qe2, then the fight was over.
U missed a faster win, for instance, 24...Rc1!! instead of Bxd4, with mate following : 25.Rxc1 Bxd4 26.Rc3 Bxc3 mate.
Instead, he had to continue with something like Kb1, taking on h file, Bh6, etc...
One example :
This kind of game shows why your treatment is not really sound, in my opinion
I mean, probably innacurate is 12...Nc4.
I would prefer 12...b5 to continue with b4 or 12...h5
