I am fairly new to the game, and I was wondering if there is a certain opening I should use. Is one easier to understand than another? Does my playing style come into play? Any feedback is appreciated.

I suggest playing 1.e4 to start with, and sticking to that for about a year before moving on to something else. 1.e4 is probably the most fundamentally sound of the opening moves and encourages nice development and early castling habits.

Thank you that is what I have been using, so I will stick with it.
