This is just a scared horsey that isn't worth its salt. But the good part is it will stop the Benko Gambit....they say.

Avatar of The_Ghostess_Lola

I must say tho'. Anyone playing the Sodium Attack is like playing with Water....explosive !

Avatar of The_Ghostess_Lola

I would consider them tho' salts of the Earth.

Only seasoned professionals should attempt Sodium3 (Na3).

Playing it is like pouring salt on your own wound.

It's one way of salting away your initiative.

this opening is only possible because of white privilege. The corresponding 'pepper' opening loses by force and is also frequently shot and killed by the police.

You know, I promised myself I would be nicer to clearly stupid people. it looks like I am going to fail.

Impress me, without looking it up on the internet, just what do you know about Robert Durkin and his opening 1.Na3?

I would hazzard a guess, very little. All you do is post the same old myopic crap. In another words "Move X sucks because it does not match my dogmatic view of the game".

Simply put, you are the worse kind of clown....

lol...you are cruel to yourself when you speak. to answer your question...i know nothing about 1na3. and i never will. even if it became the most common move i ever saw i still would never bother to study it at all. much of my chess understanding comes from logic. logically i know what 1na3 is. white decided to play this move...very important to play quickly so that 2 nb1 is prepared...and obviously more important than silly moves like d4 or e4.

Where does one start?

Perfect place would be "i know nothing about 1na3. and i never will" which begs the question why are you even on a forum posting any sort of a comment, banal or otherwise?

Oh wait..."much of my chess understanding comes from logic".

The problem with you is that your so called "logic" is flawed in that it is based upon a singular concept on how you perceive that the game should be played...In another words, dogma. Logic is supposed to provide a valid argument but when it’s thought processes are based on subjective reasoning, it becomes little more than an extension of the dogma upon which it is based.

And as for:

i think that white should be given the choice of starting the game without one of his pawns so that people like hadron could expore the fascinating ideas behind a wider variety of wonderful openings.

Even when you try be a smart arse, your myopic dogma gets in the way. White already has a choice (all be it a small one) to start without pawns. Durkin's attack not withstanding 1.Nf3 and 1.Nc3 spring to mind.

And one last thing, I suggest you expore a wonderful invention called "Spell Check".

Have a nice day
