Hi Chess.com

I'm looking for someone to practice my openings with. Preferably an English speaker so we can analyse the game after, but chess notation analysis is fine. Some of the openings I'm looking into are

All 1.e4 e5 lines

Ruy Lopez

KID

Sicilian

French/CaroK

Though if you want to practice your own openings with me it is also fine as playing new positions is always good practice. My rating is 1750 USCF and if you are interested just respond here and we can work out the details later

Thanks!

Sam

I would be glad to work on your openings, both sides though my rating is not currently of your calibre.  The only USCF rating I had was in my early 30's ~1450 but I never had any training and minimal club experience then.  I watch and read daily getting back into the game after 30 years of being away from it.  You will have to tell me how and where we meet online.  I am in the Central time zone if that is an issue. Cool

I have not an official rating but i usually feel like i'm evenly matched with players around 1700 UFC. I'm not a native speaker but i think my english is advanced enough for your purpose (of course you should be mercyful with misspellings and occasional mistakes :)). I'm ok with playig most of the openings you mention, but my basic repertoire is 1.e4 as white(open sicilian, advance french, panov botwinnik against the caro), 1.e4 e5(classical defence against the ruy) and 1.d4 d5(mainly tarrasch defence) as black . Message me if you are interested.

I will be gladly your practice opening partner(if you want of course).
