The sveshnikov is certainly more interesting to me since there is a blend of strategy and tactics, where the dragon just feels like a few forced variations most of the time. Still it can be exciting to play once in a while. I do think the Sicilian has too many pitfalls for the average club player though. I am pretty low rated and have preferred almost any other way to combat 1.e4. Not for lack of trying the Sicilian though!

jones played dragon rauser yesterday and had a good wining position happy.png both are double edged and both can be played but point is dragon is being played by top level more than seshnikov in recent time.
