Svesnikov defense

The Svesnikov defense is one of the most aggresive, the principal combination is:  1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6. 3.d4 cxd4. but this opening has been developed and now the opening spirit is based in the control of the box ''d4'. This defense is played by real tactical players because Black can surprise with a move in any moment, and if Black get the control of ''d4'' the game is practically finished. Here you are an example. By "finished" do you mean drawn?

I can't get the point why they played for a draw there. If that would be a million dollar game. I think the two will fight there way to win that game. Not just draw.

restinpeace, Nakamura do draw by repetition because Lagrave had advantage but if lagrave  lose a pawn is other thing...
