The budapest trap is a trap played by black using the budapest gambit. So tell me what you like about this trap, what you hate about it, main lines, counters, and games you've seen.

It's very uncommon but some people do it and that move is why the budapest trap works.

Additionally, this is not the Budapest Defense.  It's the Lazard Gambit.  Budapest is 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e5.

I think the Budapest trap is actually different than what is cited in the game

The trap in the Budapest Defense still ends in mate in fewer than 10 moves, and the moves by White are much more plausible
