The Duras Gambit is the most annoying gambit you can play!

White has the advantage here......but sooo many white players totally mess up.  If you want to annoy players that main e4....try this!

magikarp is a beast. don't be mean to it or it will evolve into gyarados and eat you.

you can give magikarp a waterstone to evolve, unfortunately theres no chessstone that evoles bad openings

I have faced it ( the gambit, not the magicarp. They are irritingly common in some areas :-D  ) once only. I knew it can't be sound or otherwise 1. e4 would have to be considered a mistake. Still, i was afraid to fall into an opening trap, so i just played my usual 2. Nc3 ( stockfish consideres this an inacurency).

Guess how it ended. I mated him using the f7 gap.

I like unorthodox gambits, and really if you think about it you really just need the positional knowledge to win. Also I believe the Englund gambit is the most annoying gambit

its awful. LONG ago, i thought maybe the fred can exceed its horrendous reputation ifs its played like a king's gambit. until you realize the two main problems (besides being a black gambit, gambits with black are rarely good).

1.unlike the king's gambit, black will never be able to play e5 and aim for the big center, since white will just en passant you.

2. white has enough time to play d4 first, and then play the natural bd3 developing and defending the pawn.

I feel like you'd rather play the French defense.

Not scared of that one, Sicilian is what gives me the creeps.

Sicilian is a beast...…. but, I do play the Duras and the Fred in blitz chess.
