Nothing is painfully obvious. I just avoid trolls.

You've never hit your thumb with a hammer?
Lets start with the odvious. 5. Bd3 does not come with the threat of Bg6# and is not an accurate move order compared to 4. Bd3. I would prefer 5. d4 or 5. Nc3. 7. h3 is a waste of a move, 7. Nc3 aimed at 7.,.. e4 or even 7.Bf5 intending 7...e4 8. Qh3 and exchanging light squared bishops as soon as Black moves his d pawn are both better. I would rather return a pawn with 8. Bf5 then play Bf1. 13. Bxf6 loses time when White has already lost too much of it. 13. Nc3, if black wants a pawn back with 13...exd4 let him have it. I still want to move the knight; 16. Nc3. After 18. f3 I suggest eugenics before White pees in the genepool.
