The king’s indian defence is an modern non-symmetrical oppening that gained popularity in the mid 20’s with the prevelance of the sophistiated chess academies. This happened because King’s Indian Defence is an oppening that breaks some of the main chess rules.Black , in this oppening is not trying to control the centre , gain space etc. However,in the King’s Indian Defence  black is giving to white the chance to build an very solid centre with the moves d4 c4 and e4!!! :O White is also gaining a lot of space but black is giving these advantages intentionally…His plan is to start a sharp attack heading for white’s monarch and another goal is to make the fianchetooed g2 bishop the stronger the possible. On the contrary ,white is having the chance to start a less dangerous attack on queen’s side and If white deserves not to be checkmated he is most probably going to win the game.

KID(King’s Indian Defence) is an oppening that gives winning chances for both black and white and is probably the only oppening that black is first attacking in the opoonent king’s side.

Some big chess personalities that were huge fans of KID were: Reti,Najdorf,Kasparov,Sicher,Tal,Grunfeld,Nan,Radjabpv,Nakamura etc.

If you want an oppening that consists of : fantasy, risk, sharp attacks and not a quiet game which will end in a draw the oppening that you have to play is the King’s Indian Defence!!!
