It isn't strictly a sacrifice. Black cannot hold on to the pawn for long anyway.

Yeah, it's not really a sacrifice since white can win the pawn back by force. I've won too many games to count where black tried to hold onto the pawn for wayyy too long, cracks me up everytime.
