The Scandinavian Defense

Hi! I've been playing the Scandinavian Defense when I play as Black, as I've realized, that it made me a very aggressive player. The Scandinavian Defense engages your queen play early in the game, and get's the other player's defence quite corrupted. Here is a game that I had with another player using the Scandinavian Defence. Yes, I've made a few mistakes, but I still won! Do you like playing the Scandinavian Defence?

I don't think it's very good at all. With proper play by white, black is just down a tempo for not very much at all except an exposed Queen.

I sometimes play the Scandinavian but nothing like you did in that game. I wouldn't call the Scandinavian an aggressive opening. Instead of trying to attack with your queen you should put your queen out of the way (on a5, d6, or even d8) and develop all your other pieces.

Scandinavian is sound and black is not down a tempo as long as they don't retreat on d8. But the problem is it's not that aggressive as you think because if you tried to do what you did in this game against theoretician then you would be punished.

Yes, it's true, it's not all that aggressive, but it helps white since of you play Qe5+ like I did, it pins the figure that blocks the king. In this case it was the knight. Thanks for your answers :)
