Hmm, i think this is perfectly on-topic actually, as you made the option of being able to add openings, and these openings were not already on the list :)

John entered the dimly-lit room. In the centre of the room was a table with a chessboard and chess clock on it; there were two chairs on either side of the table. Sitting in one of the chairs was a large man setting up pieces on the chessboard. John sat down; in front of him the white chess pieces were set up. His opponent extended his hand.

“Hi, I'm Mark.”

John extended his hand in return. “I'm John. Ready?”

“Ready.” Mark started John's clock.

After a few seconds thought John played his king's pawn forward two squares, and pressed the little button on the clock. His opponent did likewise.

John contemplated his next move. Should he play along the well-trodden lines or should he play something more unusual?

He decided on the latter and confidently played his king forward one square. Suddenly Mark looked angry.

“You cannot do that!”

“Why? This is an unusual but strong opening, popularised by Lenny Bongcloud”

“No! You must not insult your opponent like that! Play something else!”

“No. This is a strong opening, and I want to play it. Make your move”

Mark’s large figure rose from his chair. He walked over to John, until they were just inches apart. He raised his fists. “PLAY ANOTHER MOVE, OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!”

John sighed, retreated this king and played his queen out to h5.

“NO! PLAY A SENSIBLE MOVE!”

John sighed, retreated his queen back to its starting square and moved his king’s knight out, lesson learned.
