Tyler1 (a popular Twitch Streamer) has gotten to like 2000+ rating using only The Cow. It was popularized by Anna Cramling, and it gives Black a slight edge at the start of the game (according to the engine), but it tries to fight for the center later on. I've seen some people say it "increases tactical vision" or something? I'll post the link to the person who originally said that, although, I am not to play this opening at the current rating I'm at if I want to climb the rating ladder. Shall I play this, it would make sense if I fully studied and opening that's not even "good" or "intended to be used" in the first place. How do you all think Tyler1 got rewarded from playing this White opening?
And also, the Hippo Defense for Black (It's basically The Cow, but from the other side ot the board), is it good too? I'm interesting in knowing if these two openings are "worth trying for fun".
