Basically what you're saying is that you don't know why the bishop is played to b5. Other people do, so it's your problem.

no i know why they put it but i dont think its a good reason theoritcly speaaking f7 is the weaakest sqare why dont you attack that, scotch open d line openi black bishop centralized night my problem is they make art borring the ruy lopez is main prob read i have prob with other oppenings

Your analysis is very basic, the fact is that many decades of top level chess have shown that the Ruy Lopez is a better try for advantage than the Italian. Something as simple as 'it attacks f7' isn't really a convincing argument compared to that.

the reason that people think ruy lopez is better is

in the italian

the reason that they play like that they find Ng4 too risky but i think if you have nervs of steel you will win

Hi people i am tired of people playing the ruy lopez which forces a draw look at krammnik vs admas 2005 sofia. But not because of that when i ask them why did you put Bb5 not bc4 they are speachless those how will answer will say ficher played it why.I askem why  do you play the najdof why not the kan you can learn a strategicly more plus you dont win because of theory.they say ficher played .I want to hear youre thought on this topic

And yet the opening is still played at the highest levels.

Those aren't even the main lines. Nobody plays 4...a6 against the Italian.

evreything is playabel the reason tehey dont  play the best line is because they play side lines and they know their opponent wont find the best move

I will keep that in mind. May I ask how you got to be such an expert on chess?

TeraHammer

I kinda feel you. The Ruy Lopez is a safe opening for white getting a slight but oh so nagging advantadge, which is hard to break by black, making black's game defensive for a long time, or, with a good d5 break, equalish with lots of pieces off. I avoid it too.

Lou-for-you

Italian is bc5 by black. Your example is two knights play.

And yet the opening is still played at the highest levels. look at kasparov database you will find games with main line only 5 times

pps1 is obviously a nutcase.  Nobody should ever need to explain why they play one opening over another.  Why do I play the Caro-Kann?  Why do I occasionally play 1...e5?  Why when I play 1...e5 do I play the Berlin?  Why do I play 1.d4 and 1.Nf3 with maybe a very rare instance of 1.c4 as White?  Why do I avoid 1.e4 like the plague?  Why do I think the Alekhine and Benko Gambit are sh*t? (That one's easy - I get excellent positions against both, and the only time I lose to those is a result of misplaying the position way later on that has nothing to do with the opening)  Why do I avoid the Najdorf and Dragon?  Why do I avoid most Indian Defenses?  Why do I even play chess?  Why don't I just go climb a tree?

The answer is simple - It is what it is!  I find the Alekhine and Benko unsound.  The Najdorf, Dragon, Indian Defenses, and 1.e4 just aren't my cup of tea.  I play the Caro-Kann and 1...e5 against e4 and 1...d5 against 1.d4, along with 1.Nf3 and 1.d4 as White simply because I prefer them, and owe you no explaination otherwise!

Oh, and to respond directly to your statement, I have a two statements myself:

Statement 1:  3.Bb5 is theoretically stronger than 3.Bc4, so forget that Fischer played it - It's simply a stronger move!

Statement 2:  I'm tired of people (uh hm, pps1) posting god-awful run-on sentences with a lack of proper capitalization in the middle of English-speaking forums!

Oh! You're theorizing about those two openings, pps1. I thought you were just saying that the Spanish Opening is a draw, because two grandmasters had a draw eight years ago. Sorry, I didn't understand you at first:)
