to you what is the most annoying defense to play against?

to me is sicilian najdorf against e4 ( thats is why i leave to play e4 :S ), any benoni system specialy benko gambit against d4 and english opening when i play black

Speaking as a straight male married to a female, there are some people that I know that are gay, and your comment is derrogatory.

Only ignorant pricks with a mama that's probably sniffing the drugs, gambling away the paychecks, and too stupid to teach their spoiled brat son (like you omargalanti) right from wrong makes such comments, and using the word "gay" (which you clearly can't spell either) to mean stupid or any other negative connotation of the word is one of those things you just don't say you f'ing moron!

Oh, and by the way, 1.d4 is the best move on the chess board!

In response to the original post, probably the most "annoying" defense, not necessarily the hardest one to beat, for me has got to be the Modern Defense, which I occasionally play myself as Black.  It's not a difficult defense for White to break down.  Just "annoying" as all get out!

Some people call anything they don't understand gay. All the gay people I know are very nice, creative, intelligent people. Those who disparage them are narrow minded people who should take up tiddly winks rather than chess.

I hate sicilian so I never play 1.e4, yet if my opponent tries to transpose into a sicilian I go nuts. Literally.

Sicilian isn't that bad to play against.  I'm usually on the lookout for Nd5 and Nxb5 sacs, battery against a weak b6 square (a4-a5 with queen and bishop pointing there is intimidating, and d5 is weak enough usually), and just so much to keep track of.  It can be fun, but losing because you didn't remember a stupid variation isn't.  

I replaced it with 1...e5 for the time being because it's far more recommended for improving.  I still won some nice (and not so nice) games with it, but aren't really into playing memory.  I still have my 2...Nf6 3.e5,Ne5 against 2.c3 and 1.e4,e5 2.Nf3,d6 3.d4,cxd4 4.Nxd4,Nf6 5.Nc3,a6 6.Bc4,e6 committed to memory (yes, some moves are too sensitive) and some other lines but rather for now go with the Neo-Archangelsk as my most likely weapon (given the Ruy Lopez's popularity) and keep in mind some Scotch, Giuco Piano, and Evan's Gambit lines to memory for good measure. 

Now, the problem is 2.f4 but I like either 2...d6! or 2...d5!? and choosing between them is hard.  Fischer's Bust relies upon restricting white's play, not really my style but if that's what the science says is my best bet for winning chances then why not?  I like 2...d5 as I generate my own play and have my own plans other than restricting the opponent. 

I probably like losing to the reversed Bongcloud least of all...

FYI  'gay' in common vernacular does now mean 'naff' ..... I'm sorry some of you don't like it, but there it is.

Gay used to mean feeling somewhat whimsical & happy, until adopted (initially as a code, at a time when being homosexual was illegal) by our queenly friends.  Lighten up, ye defenders of all things bent.  

As to annoying defenses, I don't get annoyed by anything -other than my own blunders.

This is going to seem a bit odd, but Reti Opening ; Sicilian Invitation is something I truly hate to play vs as all options are pretty awful

1. Symmetrical English: Boring, drawish and Symmetrical Pawn structures, just isn't fun IMO.

 2. Transpose into the Open Sicilian: The Ammount of study and theory to maintain a very slight edge is awful.

3. 2. g3: Instantly Equalises.
