Actually it's overrated by the people who play it. They think they will get a strong attack no matter what but then black doesn't let him do it.

dont know about cordel but the benko is uber strong if accepted.
cordel is 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 Bc5!
