I always use it after 1.e4 e5 2.Bc4 Nf6 It goes like this; 3.d4!? exd4 (It is the best move.) 4.Nf3!? And if black plays 4...Nc6, it can transpose into Max Lange Attack (which is also one of my favourite openings) after 5.0-0 Bc5 Any ideas?

If you like the Urusov, make sure you find this very helpful site.

Thanks! There are some great lines that I didn't know of in this site.

DrawMaster already pointed you in the right direction. I only have to add that the same author updated some lines here:

http://www.kenilworthchessclub.org/articles/

There are 7 articles containing various improvements for both sides and some nicely annotated games.

Ahh, so that's what it's called lol... The "urusov"; all my gambits have the same name.

"I enjoy playing the Urusov Gambit. Unfortunately, like many other openings I enjoy playing, it's rather difficult to reach!"

No kidding.

The more I play with the Bishop's Opening though (hoping for the Urusov), the more I'm liking it.

The following video at chessvideos.tv may be of interest:

A Creative Gambit Here Peter Lalic gives variations following the moves 1.e4 e5 2.d4 exd4 3.Bc4 which can transpose into the Urusov.

When my opponent doesn't play Nf6 it is usually Nc6 or Bc5 so I play Evans Gambit instead. Thanks for the link MalReid, watching it now.

Against 2...Bc5 3.d4!? is worth a try if you want to stay in the Urusov spirit. As far as i know if folllowed up correctly it's considered quite sound (in the refutation Goeller gives on his website W plays some bizarre moves)

I am winning lots of games with these traps. Thanks for all the links.

I'm really happy for you Smile The last time i forgot to add one last useful link:

http://www.chesscafe.com/text/kaiss53.pdf

The author explores a creative idea against the rock-solid 1.e4 e5 2.Bc4 Nf6 3.d4 exd4 4.Nf3 Nf6 5.0-0 Nxe4! line. The aim is not to produce an advantage, but a complicatd, roughly equal gambit position instead of the sterile endgames tipical of this line.

Looks good, I will check it out later thanks.
