Quite interesting.   Leaving your Queen hanging is just too tempting and it got you the position you needed.   Nice indeed.  If white did not take the Queen, well black was hosed anyway.  Again, Nice

 What do you mean? White had to take the queen, 27.Kf1 Qg2#, Qh1# or Bg2#.

most mates are "sucker" mates, or in other words mates because the loser made some mistake in calculation.

ShiVi "with mate to come" ??  White is losing that game IMO. There's no mate for either side there. After 13...Ke8 or ...Qd6  White is a piece down, and although the Black King is exposed, Black's pieces are much more active. A real hornets nest.
