Whether it's the knight sacrifice in the Fried Liver Attack, or the pawn bait in the Latvian Gambit, every player has an opening line that makes their heart race. What's yours?

I've never played either side of this but it is by far the funniest opening played in actual GM games.

(Edited as I seem to have mixed up the move orders)

I’ve won a surprising number of games with this opening.

Im the chess oddball...all that crazy opening stuff, never appealed to me.  I have always been a "boring" player.

I like to use the Bird once in awhile. I always liked Larsen’s games and I picked it up from him.

Same. I don't mind entering a Dutch Leningrad from time to time, and I'll play some other double edged positions. But I have NO gambits in my main repertoire and have never played any kind of piece sacrifice in opening preparation

The "wildest" opening i play is the Benko Gambit.

It just doesn't get any better than this.

Against the English opening which i found a little boring to defend, i play sometimes with black the macho grob : 1 c4 g5 (!? or ?!) because even if it is a little dubious, it is often destabilizing for regular players of English opening happy.png
