What do you play against the Jobava London?

I’m intrigued to see how diverse the responses of the top players are. I myself feel inclined toward a6 (to keep the knight out of b5) and c5 quickly to challenge the center. But these structures with the knight in front of the C pawn are very unfamiliar to me,

I play a line where it is not good for White to go into it.

1.d4 e6 2.Nc3 Bb4 and now if 3.Bf4, then 3...Nf6. I have only lost once with this line in about a dozen over the board games on the Black side of this.

White is actually better off playing 3.e4 here, at which point, 3...d5 is the French Winawer.

But if White does play 3.Bf4, he can kiss any Nb5 ideas good-bye!

I'm a Nimzo-Indian player, so I tend to like Bb4, as well.

Either this:

or this (if you're a 1...d5 player):

Jobava-London players tend to dislike the immediate pin, as it takes most of their fun prep away.

I agree. And if white follows up 3...Nf6 with 4.e3, continuing with the 'London' plan, he usually ends up with a pretty cramped position after 4...Nd5 5.Nge2. After 3...Nf6 white's best, 'theoretically', is Qd3. But then you're already on the defensive after only four moves with the white pieces.
